Progress and history

Personal records

The Progress page tracks Personal Records (PRs) — logged best efforts per exercise. You can log one manually, or use “Find PRs from sessions” to surface newly detected all-time bests from your training history and log them (individually, or all at once).

Why the same exercise sometimes doesn't match itself

Exercise names you type are automatically matched to a shared canonical exercise in the background — “Lat Pull Downs”, “Lateral Pulldown”, and “Lat Pulldown” all resolve to the same entry, which is what lets your Weekly Review trend, “last time” weight suggestions, and PR detection recognize them as the same movement. This runs in the background and can take a few minutes after logging — a brand-new phrasing may take a session or two to fully merge with existing history.

This matching is deliberately careful: exercises the library keeps distinct (Close-Grip Lat Pulldown vs. plain Lat Pulldown, Dumbbell vs. Barbell Bench Press, Incline vs. Flat vs. Decline Bench Press, and similar) are never merged just because they’re similar.

One nuance worth knowing: the Unilateral toggle (marking an exercise single-arm/single-leg/crossbody) is a display flag only — it doesn’t affect exercise matching. If you want a unilateral variant tracked as its own separate PR/trend line, say so in the exercise name itself (e.g. “Single-Leg Seated Leg Extension”), not just the toggle.

Editing history

Once a session is finished, there’s currently no in-app way to delete it or fully edit its logged data. Editing is supported while a session is still active — see Logging workouts.
