Templates and programs

Templates

A workout template is a reusable plan: exercises, target sets/reps/RPE, rest, tempo, notes, and grouping (sections like warm-up/main/accessory/finisher/cool-down, plus supersets and circuits). Build one once and start as many sessions from it as you like; editing a template later doesn’t rewrite sessions you already completed from an earlier version of it.

Templates can be shared with a connected trainer or client contact. Archiving a template currently removes it rather than keeping it as a true archived record — expect it to disappear, not sit in an archive list.

Programs

A program is a multi-week plan made of workout slots (e.g. “Workout 1”, “Upper Push”) that repeat each week for the program’s duration; each slot can hold one or more templates. You choose which slot to start when you train — the app doesn’t enforce a fixed day-of-week schedule.

A program can be archived (kept, but not editable in the current UI) or deleted, but only once it has no sessions logged against it.

Which one am I looking at?

“Workout” on its own is ambiguous — it can mean a template, a program slot, or an actual logged session. If something isn’t behaving as expected, checking which of the three is involved usually clarifies it.
